US Modernist Radio [podcast]
George Smart lives in Durham but is recognized the world over as a leading authority on Mid-Century Modernist Architecture. His website US Modernist® is the largest open digital archive of midcentury Modernist houses in the world; featuring works by Wright, Neutra, Schindler, Lautner and many others.
Since 2015 George has produced a podcast, US Modernist Radio. It features interviews and stories from people who love (and hate) mid-century Modernist Architecture, and amazingly enough it’s targeted at regular people. George, along with SoundTrax co-owner Tom Guild, have produced more than 125 episodes of US Modernist Radio at SoundTrax Recording Studios. USM was recently named the #2 architecture & design podcast by Dwell Magazine and is available on all podcast platforms.
North Carolina Museum of Art – “Georgia O’Keefe”
When the North Carolina Museum of Art recently hosted an exhibit of paintings by American artist Georgia O’Keefe, SoundTrax worked with the Museum staff to create this radio ad to promote the show. That’s Meredith Snow’s voice in the spot.

This NC Department of Health & Human Services radio spot was part of Clean Design’s 2020 Addy-award winning campaign “Hope Is On the Line.” The voice you hear is that of Luray Cooper.
Pendleton Whisky – “Pendleton Original”
Pendleton Whisky is a premium whisky brand native to the Pacific Northwest. French, West & Vaughan created this radio spot at SoundTrax. It features Tom’s Guild’s best effort at channeling Sam Elliot.
